I believe Podcasting can be a very powerful medium for the revival of Urdu Adab. It can be effectively used not only as a comprehensive artistic literary expression in Urdu but can also play a significant role in generating interest about Urdu Adab in the younger on-line listeners and readers.
This Podcast IBTIDAIYA is the introduction and vision of this new Urdu ADABI SINF. I initially chose the name for this audio urdu literary expression as AWAZAY but now feel that Urdu Podcasting will be a more understandable term. This introduction covers the present and future scope for audio short story telling in urdu.
