(A simple and fascinating story based on the ancient Mohenjo-daro seal M-305)

Dear Children!
Today, I want to tell you about a seal that is thousands of years old — so old that it dates back to a time when there were no mobile phones, no cars, and no schools!
This seal was found in the ancient city of Mohenjo-daro, located in present-day Pakistan. It is officially named M-305 and was discovered during excavations in 1928 or 1929.
What makes this seal so special?
Well, listen closely!
✨ On this seal, you can see an old sage sitting in a famous yoga position known as asana.
If you look carefully, you’ll notice some amazing details about him:
🧘♂️ He is seated in the Mulabandhasana yoga posture.
🐃 He has two large buffalo-like horns on his head!
⭐ Between those horns, there’s a shining star!
🌿 His crown includes a branch of a tree — possibly from a fig or peepal tree!
Surrounding Baba Ji, there are four animals:
🐘 an elephant, 🐅 a tiger, 🦏 a rhinoceros, and 🐃 a buffalo.
Below them, there are two deer as well! 🦌🦌
What do experts say?
Archaeologists believe that this Baba Ji might be an early image of Lord Shiva, the ancient god known by the name Pashupati — meaning Lord of the Animals.
The animals around him symbolize the belief that he was considered a ruler of nature by the ancient people.
🎇 The star between his horns possibly shows that he was seen as a spiritual figure or deity, similar to how Mesopotamian gods were often drawn with stars to indicate divine power.
What can we learn from this?
This tiny seal teaches us some big lessons:

✔️ They deeply respected stars, planets, animals, and nature.
✔️ They believed in spiritual forces and often considered their elders as divine beings.
