Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

For a moment, imagine that you are standing among the clouds—on towering rocky peaks so high that the earth below is no longer visible. Around you rise tall, pillar-like mountains, standing as if suspended in the air. The silence is so deep that even the sound of your own breathing feels unfamiliar.
This is the scene that forms in my mind whenever I think of Zhangjiajie.
I have never visited this place myself, yet its images and stories are so astonishing that it has certainly earned a place on my wishlist.
Located in China, this national park is famous worldwide for its unique rock formations. Thousands of pillar-like mountains, shaped over millions of years through erosion, appear as though nature has turned a dream into reality.
This is the very place that inspired the “floating mountains” in the movie Avatar. Its beauty is not just visual—it is also a scientific wonder. Sandstone, gradually worn away over time, has transformed into these towering natural pillars.
Today, it is a major tourist destination. Glass bridges and cable cars take visitors to breathtaking heights, where one can stand and feel as if they have stepped into another world.
This place makes me reflect again and again: the Earth is not just an inanimate planet, but a living, breathing story—one that we have not yet fully read.
