Sequoia: The Biggest Tree in the World! 🌲✨

Imagine a tree taller than a building and so wide that dozens of children could hide behind its trunk! This is the Sequoia, the world’s biggest and longest-living tree!

These giant trees can grow over 88 meters (289 feet) tall, which is as high as a 30-story building! Their trunks can be 9 meters (30 feet) wide, big enough to fit a small room inside!

The most famous Sequoia tree, “General Sherman,” is found in Sequoia National Park, California. It weighs around 1,500 tons, which is as heavy as 10 blue whales! 😲 It is over 2,000 years old, meaning it was already standing when Roman Emperor Julius Caesar ruled the world!

Amazingly, Sequoia trees have super thick and strong bark, which makes them resistant to fire! That’s one of the reasons they can live for thousands of years.
