Oligarchy refers to a system of governance or a power structure in which control over resources and authority is concentrated in the hands of a few individuals, families, or powerful groups. These individuals typically gain power based on wealth, influence, or social status, while disregarding the interests and opinions of the majority.

In today’s world, the oligarchy in the United States, characterized by the overwhelming influence of the wealthy elite and large corporations, has become a grave threat to global peace. Through lobbying and interference in policymaking, these powerful entities promote militarism, economic inequality, and environmental destruction.

The arms industry profits from global conflicts, often fueled by U.S. interventions in regions such as the Middle East. Economic policies prioritize corporate interests over equitable development, exacerbating global poverty and unrest. Moreover, opposition to addressing climate change threatens global stability.

This concentration of power undermines democracy, prioritizing profit over peace, which leads to chaos in the world and hampers efforts for harmony.

It is deeply unjust and dangerous for the future of the world that the destiny of billions of ordinary people lies in the hands of a few of the world’s wealthiest individuals. Without resolving this issue, the dream of global peace and prosperity will remain unfulfilled.
