🌞 Is Our Thought Faster Than the Speed of Light?

Sunlight takes eight minutes to reach the Earth,
but we can imagine the sun in an instant just by closing our eyes.
So, should we assume that our thought is faster than light?

This idea is certainly captivating,
but in reality, it is an illusion — not a physical fact.
Our thoughts are a biological process based on neurons and neurotransmitters,
with speeds ranging from 1 to 120 meters per second
extremely slow compared to the speed of light.

When we think about the sun,
we do not actually travel any distance.
Our thought does not journey through space,
nor does it establish any direct contact with the sun.

We simply bring forth an image in our mind,
which is either a memory or imagination.

And this is where philosophy enters the scene.

Descartes says:

“I think, therefore I am.”

In other words, thought is our true identity,
and the only certain proof of existence.

But Berkeley takes it a step further:

“To be is to be perceived.”

That is, if we neither see something
nor think about it,
then for us, it doesn’t exist.

So the question arises:
If we neither see nor feel the sun,
does it really exist
or is it just an idea?

From here emerges a profound question:

Is it possible that this entire universe
is the dream of a greater consciousness?
Are we all living in a thought
a reflection of the imagination of a supreme being?

And if that being,
that Creator,
were to one day awaken…

Then perhaps all of us
would simply dissolve
into silence,
as nothing more than a thought.
