Where is time? Outside… or within us?

Try a simple experiment…
Close your eyes and attempt to feel the “now.”

That moment—this very moment—in which you are reading the words of this piece… where does it actually exist?
Is time truly a concrete reality of the universe, or merely a feeling?

We generally assume that we live within time.
Our lives move forward in time like a straight line: childhood, youth, old age.
But if we reflect a little more deeply, an interesting truth emerges:

We only remember the past,
We only imagine the future,
But we always live in the present.

Albert Einstein described time as a dimension—meaning that past, present, and future exist in some form.
Yet our consciousness moves along a very fine line, which we call “now.”
It is like shining a torch in a dark room.

There may be many things present in the room, but the light falls only on a limited area—and only those objects become visible which are illuminated.

Neuroscience tells us something fascinating:
The “present” is actually a tiny interval of just a few milliseconds, which our brain stitches together into a continuous story.

In other words, it may not be that time itself is flowing—
Rather, it is our consciousness that experiences it as flowing.

So the question arises:
Are we within time…?
Or is time formed within our consciousness?
Perhaps the truth lies somewhere in between.

This question invites us to understand our existence in an entirely new way.

And perhaps the most astonishing thought is this:
We are not merely travelers of time—we are its creators. In every “now,” we not only experience the moment, but also give it meaning. And it is this meaning that shapes the entire form of our universe.
