Duel of verses, Bait Bazi, a receding tradition in Urdu Poetry, Akhter indori

Contribution in art, literature and language is not only by the famous and eminent, but also by many ordinary individuals who remain unknown and unsung. This brief Fikr Angaiz audio program on Value Radio is about Akhter Indori Murhoom Sahib, who died recently in Karachi. A relatively unknown poet, but he truly represents the love of a common man of his times towards language and literature. Few months ago, I met him in Nazimabad, Karachi, and he kindly shared some of his precious memories about Bait Bazi بیت بأزی tradition in Indore, Madhya Pardesh with me.
